InView provides AI visibility and recommendation analysis for businesses. This policy explains how we handle information you provide through our website, communications and services.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, business name, role, email address, phone number, business website and location, information you submit when requesting a report, correspondence and feedback, and technical website information collected by the hosting or analytics tools we use.

How we use it

We use information to respond to enquiries, prepare and deliver InView reports, communicate with you, improve our methodology and services, operate and secure the website, and comply with applicable obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Public business information

In preparing reports, InView may analyse publicly available information about businesses and professionals. Information connected with an identifiable individual may still be personal information.

Service providers

We may use third-party hosting, email, productivity, analytics, AI/search, storage and document-processing providers to operate InView and prepare reports. Some providers may process or store information outside Australia. We aim to minimise personal information supplied to third-party AI systems where practical.

Website analytics and session recording

We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how people use most pages of our website, including the free scan and report pages, and to find and fix problems. PostHog is configured not to set cookies or store identifiers in your browser, and we do not create personal profiles. Visits are grouped using an anonymous identifier that PostHog calculates from technical details such as your IP address and browser and resets daily. We do not store your IP address with our analytics data.

On those pages we record sessions, meaning how the page appeared and how you scrolled, clicked and moved around it, along with click heatmaps and technical performance information. Anything you type into form fields, including your name, email address and phone number, is masked and is not captured in these recordings. Our analytics events record actions such as starting a scan or viewing a report, together with the website being analysed and the report ID, but never your name, email address or phone number.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps appropriate to our business to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure. No electronic system is completely secure. We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, business records, comparable measurement where relevant, and applicable legal requirements.

Access, correction and questions

You can ask about personal information we hold about you, request correction, or raise a privacy concern by emailing hello@getinview.com.au. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Changes

We may update this policy as InView's services and information-handling practices change. The current version will be published here.
